 Today in maths we have to learn about the sine rule. First, we had to research what is a sine rule is a gives a between the sides the angles of the triangle, and the sine rule formula gives the ratio of the sides and angles of a triangle. the sine rule is used when we are given either a) two angles and one side, or b) two sides and a non-included angle.

A non-right triangle is a three-sided number with an angle equal to 90 degrees. If we know the value of an angle in a right triangle, the tables will tell us the ratio of the sides of the triangles.

Law of indices
An index, or power, is the small floating number that appears after numbers or letters.

• For example, in numbers 2^6, 6 is the index of 2.
• Example: 5³ = 5 × 5 × 5 = 125 or 

• In words: 5³ could be called "5 to the third power", "5 to the power 3" or simply "5 cubed"

what happens to + and - numbers of odd and even indices?
Negative number indices with indices that are negative give you a negative.
Examples: (-3)⁹ = (-3) × (-3) × (-3) × (-3) × (-3) × (-3) × (-3) × (-3) × (-3) = -19683
negative number with our even indices give you a positive value.
Examples:(-4)⁶ = (-4) × (-4) × (-4) × (-4) × (-4) × (-4) = 4096

1.What are Pneumatic tools / air compressors? Diagram examples of compressors and an explanation. Show a range of different air compressors you might come across.

A pneumatic tool is one that's driven with the assistance of compressed air rather than electricity.

	Reciprocating compressor or piston compressor is a positive-displacement compressor that uses pistons driven by a crankshaft to deliver gases at high pressure.
	Rotary screw  is a type of gas compressor, such as an air compressor, that uses a rotary-type positive-displacement mechanism.
	Rotary vane compressors Rotary vane compressors serve in a variety of welding operations, in the use of air-operated metal and wood working tools, in cylinders used in paper pressing, in many industrial cooling operations, throughout material handling operations, in printing pumps and equipment, and much more.
	Scroll compressors. A scroll compressor is a specially designed compressor that works in a circular motion, as opposed to up-and-down piston action.
	Diaphragm compressors. A diaphragm compressor is a variant of the classic reciprocating compressor with backup and piston rings and rod seal.

What is PPE?
Personal Protective Equipment is protective clothing, helmets, goggles, or other
garments or equipment designed to protect the wearer's body from injury or infection.
The hazards addressed by protective equipment include physical, electrical, heat,
chemicals, biohazards, and airborne particulate matter.
What are the basic requirements for PPE here at the HHS workshop?
include items such as gloves, safety glasses and shoes, earplugs or muffs, hard hats,
respirators, or coveralls, vests and full body suits.

List safety points for your work area

1 do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gas. The sparks can cause the explosion.

2 Keep a work area and well lit. Cluttered or Dark areas invite accidents.

3 keep the children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distraction can cause you to lose control.

List 4 electrical safety points when using a mains powered drill

1 Don’t use near water. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

2 Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.

3  Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

4 When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

5 Do not use portable cord-and-plug connected power tools if the guards are removed.

List 4 personal safety points when using a mains powered drill

1 Use personal protective equipment. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

2 Using the right tools.  Always use the right tools for the job. Never use a tool for a different purpose than it was intended. You risk damaging the tools and injuring yourself.

3 Dress properly. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

4 Be aware of your surroundings. Always be aware of the people around you when using tools.

5 Protect your eyes. If you don’t use glasses your eye hurts.

List 5 points for safe use and care of the tool

1 keep the cutting tool sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

2 Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

3 Do not use the power tools if the tools switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

4 Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

5 Maintain power tools. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

6 Do not force the power tool. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

7 Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tools or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

Hazard Identification & Action

A hazard can be described as anything that could cause you and others any form of harm.

A hazard that can cause you serious harm is described as significant.

Once a significant hazard has been determined the school must take “all practical steps” to eliminate, isolate or minimize the significant hazard.
