Today in class, we were reading about new articles, and I came across one that I decided to read. Armed police searched a home in Christchurch on Friday night in connection with the deadly shooting of Connor Whitehead, who was killed while attending a 15-year-old boy's birthday party on Friday night, as he awaits the appearance of three persons charged in connection with the alleged murder. The two males and two women have been arrested since that day, while a fifth is still on the loose. The three persons who were hiding were discovered at a property in Spencerville, north of Christchurch, and two women, ages 43 and 36, are scheduled to appear in Christchurch court on Monday, all arrested for being an accessory after the fact to murder. On Sunday evening, armed police found a 32-year-old guy who was caught after police used a chainsaw to cut into a house in Dunster st, Burnside where he was hiding, and police assisted with the investigation. According to charging sheets, the 46-year-old forklift operator is accused of "comforting" a guy on the run by allowing him to stay at his home to avoid arrest. The 36-year-old lady has been charged with enabling the man detained in Burnside to avoid arrest after she allegedly knew he was a party to murder.
